NOW THE clean up.
Much of last night one could hear the vibration of chainsaws the blades of hovering helicopters. This morning I woke up to vigorous raking. There are still huge trees blocking the streets, roof tiles and shingles scattered on lawns streets away from their original home. Large magnolia tree branches stick out of jasmine bush hedges. It’s a collision of everything. I see that my neighbor moved a boulder over to my side of the property to keep his fence from coming down further.
Word is it starts up again perhaps tomorrow.
